APH - Iberia -oc-

As I said in the concept sketches, I promised a friend I'd try my hand at making an Iberia at some point (also a few people were asking why he'd been missed off the ancients a-go-go picture, so yeah).

Anyway, yes, here we have an Iberia. He's a very outgoing, friendly guy who is quick to pick things up and loves to learn - though he is prone to being easily influenced, not least by Phoenicia, Mama Greece and Gaul. This and his amicable nature meant he was often taken advantage of.

Gaul in the north was very much the big sisterly figure to him, influencing him heavily with her Celtic culture. He also had a close relationship with the stern Carthage who he had met through uncle Phoenicia (who had found him many years before). He helped him with trade and often joined him in battle, with Carthage growing very possessive of his friend.

With Carthage's fall, I am undecided on whether he died by Rome's hands or with Rome's fall (seeing as the province of Hispania initially encompassed the entire peninsula). Of course living past Rome would mean he'd have fun with the Visigoths and Byzantine pulling him back and forth.

In any case, his children went on to become Spain, Portugal, and Andorra.

All the images I've found for Iberian clothing seem to vary from Celtic to Phoenician. That unusual sword he's holding is supposed to be a falcata. They're kind of pretty.
