Okay, I was surprised to find quite a few people didn't know Prussia was a Baltic region BEFORE the Teutonic Order turned up.

Obviously Hetalia wise, this causes some confusion. Prussia is clearly Germanic (the eyes), and of the Teutonic Order from a young age. HOWEVER, the way I see it, he was a Baltic from the start - Small Prussia alone and confused > Is found by the original Teutonic Order entity, who takes him away and raises him German - causing him to forget pretty much his entire past. He's just happy to not be alone and have people praising him - even if the praise comes from hitting things really hard in the face. A number of years later the Order returns to the same geographical location he is originally from to subdue the local population. Prussia gets mind fucked, the Teutonic side wins out, his Baltic side essentially fades away for good. The crusades weren't pleasant.

The Old Prussian language was around into the 1700s, and even the ancient place names existed up until after WWII. I never much liked the idea of an organisation being personified, and if he was around at such a young age (i.e: when the order was fighting alongside Hungary), then he existed pre-Prussia being part of the monastic state (bear in mind regions up to and including Estonia were also part of the state at one point or another). So all this makes much more sense to me than the "Teutonic Order killed real Prussia and stole his name" theory I see floating around.

I should do a comic at some point, but aah, so lazy as always.

Anyhoo, I was listening to an awesome non-vocaloid-both-male version of 'Magnet' ([link]), and this came about (it's a meme of sorts idk).
